Elipson Unveils Prestige Facet II Series with Audiophile Upgrades and Modern Design

Elipson has updated its Prestige Facet line of loudspeakers. The manufacturer states that the Prestige Facet II series reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional sound quality while ensuring a favorable price-to-quality ratio. These speakers are available in three distinct color options and are designed to please both audiophiles and home theater fans.

Elipson Prestige Facet II: speakers for music and home cinema

The latest Prestige Facet II series from Elipson features two monitor models (designated as 6B and 8B), three floorstanding models (identified as 14F, 24F, and 34F), two center channel models (named 11C and 14C), an Atmos model (6ATM), a surround model for rear channels (referred to as 7SR), and a versatile LCR model that can function for left, right, or center audio playback.

The monitor speakers utilize a two-way bass reflex design, with one speaker equipped with a 5-inch mid/bass driver and the other with a 7-inch mid/bass driver, both accompanied by a 1-inch tweeter. In contrast, the floorstanding speakers can be configured as 2.5-way, 3-way, or 3.5-way, depending on the selected model. The top model in the series, the 34F, boasts a 1-inch tweeter, two 7-inch mid drivers, and two 10-inch woofers in its 3.5-way configuration. A notable advantage is its high sensitivity rating of 94 dB (1 Watt / 1 meter), which means that a very powerful amplifier is not necessary.

The front panel of the Prestige Facet II series features a satin finish, replacing the high-gloss finish found in its predecessor. Elipson claims that this change provides the speakers with a more contemporary and streamlined appearance.

The three floorstanding models now incorporate new decoupling feet that boast a more contemporary design. They appear visually lighter while maintaining a mechanically reinforced base. Furthermore, the cabinet’s rigidity has been enhanced through additional internal bracing, with revised geometry to provide better mechanical support for the drivers. This structural optimization minimizes parasitic resonances, enhances bass response, and guarantees a more linear output, particularly at elevated volumes.

The crossover of the Prestige Facet II has also undergone a redesign, now featuring high-quality audiophile components such as polypropylene film capacitors, metal-coated resistors, and low DCR inductors. This overhaul of the crossover filter is reported to yield improved channel separation, a smoother frequency response, and a more coherent, thus more natural soundstage.

Additionally, the internal wiring has been upgraded to 2.25mm2 OFC (oxygen-free copper), which ensures optimal conductivity and lossless signal transfer between the crossover components and speaker drivers. Elipson emphasizes that this meticulous attention to cabling quality enhances the overall sound quality and transparency of the listening experience.

The complete Prestige Facet II series is now available in black, white and black/walnut finishes.
