Last October, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra sedan set a record lap time at the Nürburgring for four-door cars. The catch is that it was a specially prepared prototype, which is noticeably different from the production version, sales of which began just on the wave of the record achievement. However, at that time, Xiaomi promised that the production SU7 Ultra would also become a Nürburgring record holder. And it kept it!
Under the control of Belgian pilot Vincent Radermeker, the production Xiaomi SU7 Ultra covered the 20.8 km track in an impressive 7 minutes and 04.957 seconds! Thus, the Chinese sedan officially became the fastest production electric car on the Nürburgring. Tesla Model S Plaid (7:35.579) and Porsche Taycan Turbo GT with the Weissach package (7:07.55 seconds) were left behind. Even the Rimac Nevera hypercar (7:05.298) priced at 2.3 million euros could not resist! Moreover, the production Xiaomi SU7 Ultra turned out to be the absolute leader among four-door production cars, regardless of the engine type.

It is emphasized that the record-breaking race involved a completely standard Xiaomi SU7 Ultra sedan equipped with an optional Track package for 100 thousand yuan (14 thousand dollars), which can be ordered by anyone. That is, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra sedan in the record specification will cost buyers 630 thousand yuan (88 thousand dollars). Such cars are equipped with Bilstein Evo R struts, Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS semi-slicks, Endless racing brake pads and 21-inch forged wheels. The main external difference of cars with the Track package is the carbon fiber hood with additional air ducts.

The peak power of the system is 1,548 hp, and the torque is 1,770 Nm. Acceleration time to 100 km / h is 1.97 s, to 200 km / h – 5.96 s, and to 300 km / h – 15.07 s. The maximum speed is over 350 km / h. During a record run on the Nurburgring, the electric car reached 346 km / h according to GPS, which also made it the fastest production sedan in the world! Previously, this title belonged to the Maserati Ghibli 334 Ultima (334 km / h).
Finally, Xiaomi and Polyphony Digital studio recently announced that the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra sedan will appear in the Gran Turismo 7 simulator, becoming the first Chinese car in this game series.
