Geely is rapidly expanding its Galaxy family, created specifically for electrified cars. Moreover, the range is replenished not only with the ubiquitous crossovers, but also with sedans. Back in March, the full-size Geely Galaxy Starshine 8 EM was presented , and now the first official photos of its younger brother, called the Geely Galaxy A7, have been shown.
In terms of dimensions, it is a classmate of the current Camry: length – 4918 mm, width – 1905 mm, height – 1495 mm. Wheelbase – 2845 mm. The radiator grille is installed in the lower part of the bumper, above it – a blind fairing and a luminous jumper connecting the headlights. Convenient door handles for a natural grip instead of fashionable retractable ones catch the eye. Standard wheels with tires of 235/45 R19 size are installed.
There is no room for surprises in the interior of the Geely Galaxy A7 sedan. The front panel features a small instrument display and a large media system tablet. In addition to the usual double wireless charging pad, the central tunnel has a block of physical buttons with a large rotating volume knob in the middle: this solution is already used in other models of the Galaxy family.
The impressive fuel economy and range figures are stated: the average fuel consumption is only 2 liters per 100 km, and the maximum range reaches as much as 2,100 km without recharging and refueling. But the information about the hybrid system itself is not yet complete. Under the hood of the sedan is a four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine with a volume of 1.5 liters, which develops 112 hp, but the parameters of the electric motors have not yet been disclosed. The lithium-iron-phosphate traction battery will be presented in two versions. The basic version of the sedan will be able to cover 60 km on electricity and 1,500 km in total, and the senior version – 130 km and 1,600 km, respectively. Therefore, there will be a third, most advanced modification, for which they promise a 2,100 km range.
The full premiere of the Geely Galaxy A7 hybrid sedan will take place in the coming months, but the Chinese press is already predicting very affordable prices.
