2025 Cadillac Optiq-V Debuts: 526-HP Electric Crossover with Tesla Charging and Sport Upgrades

Earlier this year, Cadillac unveiled the Lyriq-V crossover . It became the first electric vehicle to bear the V letter, which the company uses to designate its most powerful and driver-oriented cars. Now the second electric V-model is ready: the junior Cadillac Optiq-V crossover has been unveiled in the US. Moreover, only a little over a year has passed since the debut of the basic Optiq crossover .

Visually, the V-version does not stand out much from the base model. The front end is decorated with a more aggressive bumper with developed air intakes, original graphics appeared on the rear pillars, and a massive diffuser is embedded in the rear bumper. For an additional fee, you can order a carbon fiber body kit. Deep Ocean blue and Magnus Metal gray have been added to the range of body colors. Original 21-inch wheels are installed as standard.

The interior retains a solid 33-inch instrument display and media system, which now supports Google services. Features of the V-version are a three-spoke sports steering wheel, abundant carbon fiber decor and badges with the letter V. The trim uses fabric made of recycled materials with blue accents. For an additional fee, extended blue decor is provided, including the backs of the front seats and seat belts. Crossovers will be equipped with a panoramic roof and an AKG Studio audio system (19 speakers) with Dolby Atmos technology.

The Cadillac Optiq-V has a dual-motor all-wheel drive, which is tuned to 526 hp, which is less than the older Lyriq-V model (624 hp). However, the peak torque is the same 880 Nm. In Velocity Max mode (actually launch control), the 2470 kg crossover can accelerate to 60 mph (97 km / h) in 3.5 s versus 3.3 s for the Lyriq-V crossover. The traction battery with a capacity of 85 kW h provides a range of 443 km according to the American EPA method. This is 43 km less than the standard Optiq. But the super crossover with the letter V became the first Cadillac electric car with a standard NACS connector, which gives it access to the Tesla Supercharger charging network. In ten minutes, the battery can charge for a range of 113 km.

Other features of the Optiq-V version include a sport-tuned adaptive suspension, Brembo brakes (with fixed calipers on the front wheels) and summer tires specially welded for the fast electric car. This is an important clarification for the US market, because cars sold there usually come with all-season tires as standard.

Production of the Cadillac Optiq-V super crossovers will begin this fall. In the American market, the electric car will cost from $67,300, which is almost 10 thousand less than the asking price for the older Lyriq-V model. The fast Optiq-V will also appear in the markets of Canada, Mexico and Israel, plus in the Middle East.
